Description
Hemerocallis Big Time Happy is the database-clean form of the accepted cultivar Hemerocallis ‘Big Time Happy’. It is a Deciduous herbaceous Asphodelaceae Perennial that forms clumps of arching, strap-shaped leaves. Fragrant single lemon-Yellow flowers have Green to green-Yellow throats. The American Daylily Society records 10.16-cm blooms on 45.72-cm scapes, Diploid ploidy, Dormant foliage, an extended flower-opening habit, extra-early bloom, and rebloom.
The RHS records an ultimate height of 50-100 cm and spread of 10-50 cm in two to five years. Grow in Full sun or Partial shade in fertile, Moist but Well Drained Chalk, Clay, Loam, or Sand at Acid, Neutral, or Alkaline pH. South- or West-facing sites may be exposed or sheltered. Water during dry conditions from spring to early summer to support flowering.
