Description
Yucca filamentosa Bright Edge is a compact broadleaf evergreen with dense basal rosettes of narrow sword-shaped green leaves edged in bright gold and lined with curling white filaments.
Mature clumps send up tall branched spikes of nodding creamy-white bells in early summer. Plant it in full sun in light, dry to medium, sharply drained soil. Once established, it tolerates heat, drought, poor sandy ground and salt spray. Remove spent stalks and damaged leaves as needed. Sharp leaf tips can puncture skin, so position the clump well away from paths and use eye and hand protection during maintenance.
