Description

Rosa Schneekoppe forms a dense, rounded shrub with a spreading outline, thorny stems, and textured green foliage. Strong clove-scented, semi-double flowers open blush pink and age to white, returning from late spring into fall before orange-red hips develop.

Use it as a low hedge, beside paths, in mixed borders, or in a roomy outdoor container. Full sun and moist, well-drained soil support the best bloom, while established plants tolerate dry periods and salt exposure.

Water deeply while roots establish, mulch to hold moisture, and avoid soggy soil. Shape the shrub in spring or fall, and remove spent blooms when a longer flower display is preferred. Wear gloves around the thorny stems.
