Description
Delphinium Black Eyed Angels forms upright clumps topped by dense spires of frilly white semi-double flowers with contrasting black centers. Strong stems carry the summer-to-early-fall display above divided green foliage, creating a bright vertical accent for cottage borders, wall-side beds, and cutting gardens.
Plant it in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, with shelter from strong winds. Water regularly, stake heavy flower spikes before rough weather, and deadhead after bloom to encourage later side shoots. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, while deer and rabbits generally leave the plant alone.
