Description

Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora Harlequin forms a compact clump of upright, lance-shaped green leaves.

Arching dark-purple stems carry red buds that open into starry funnel-shaped flowers with golden-yellow throats and alternating orange-red petal reverses.

The warm bicolor racemes flower from midsummer into autumn, attracting pollinators and providing vivid stems for cutting.

Grow the corms in sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich soil that stays moist in summer but drains freely, then divide crowded clumps in spring.
