Description
Astilbe arendsii Mighty Pip is a tall, vigorous perennial with dark green divided foliage and branched light pink flower plumes held on red stems. Its substantial mound and exceptional height create a strong summer display.
Plant it in moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade, or give it brighter light only where moisture stays reliable. It works well at the back of a border, beside water, in large outdoor containers, and as a source of cutting stems. The flowers attract butterflies.
