Description

Cherry-red flower clusters with small yellow eyes rise above silvery green foliage on Achillea Firefly Red Pop. The dense upright clump holds its stems through summer weather and fills sunny flowering borders, prairie-style plantings, and patio containers.

Broad, flat-topped clusters draw bees and butterflies and supply fresh or dried cut flowers. The finely divided leaves form a silver-green layer beneath the long summer bloom, while sturdy stems keep the flowering canopy upright.

Plant in full sun and well-drained average to poor soil. Avoid rich ground, which can make the stems floppy, and let the soil dry thoroughly between waterings. After the flowers fade, cut the plant back by half to encourage another flush.
