Description
Juniperus scopulorum Blue Arrow is a narrowly columnar evergreen conifer with dense ascending branches and vivid steel-blue, aromatic scale foliage. Its slim profile supplies a strong year-round vertical accent while occupying little ground space.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in well-drained chalk, clay, loam, or sandy soil. It accepts acid, neutral, or alkaline conditions, tolerates drought once established, and suits architectural plantings, screens, windbreaks, courtyards, and large containers.
Water deeply during the first growing season, then reduce watering as the root system establishes, never leaving the soil soggy. Apply a general-purpose fertilizer before spring growth.
