Description
Cercis canadensis NC2016-2 is a small deciduous tree whose heart-shaped leaves open burgundy-red, then pass through bright yellow before maturing green, so several tones can share one branch.
Clusters of pink flowers appear on bare branches in early spring, followed by the long foliage display. Its modest scale works well as a focal tree in smaller gardens, courtyards, borders, or a large patio container.
