Description

Fragrant double white flowers cover Philadelphus Snowbelle from late spring into early summer, standing out against dark green deciduous leaves. This compact shrub grows about 3 to 5 feet tall and wide, with a rounded, gently arching outline.

Use it in a border, informal hedge, foundation planting, or large patio container where the orange-blossom scent can be enjoyed. Give it full sun or partial shade and moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly while roots establish, then during prolonged drought.

Prune after flowering by cutting older stems back to lower shoots and removing a few old stems at the base. Aphids may occur, and powdery mildew or honey fungus can occasionally affect the plant.
