Description
Hydrangea arborescens Abetwo makes a rounded, bushy shrub with dark green ovate leaves and exceptionally large summer flower heads held upright on sturdy stems.
The rounded heads open creamy green, turn pure white, and age back to green. They provide a long display and are useful both fresh and dried in arrangements.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Mulch to conserve moisture, water during dry spells, and cut the shrub back by about one-third as growth begins in spring.
