Description
Salvia yangii Little Spire is a compact, upright deciduous perennial with pale square stems and aromatic gray-green leaves.
Numerous small, two-lipped violet-blue flowers form airy upright racemes from summer into fall, bringing long-lasting color and attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Plant it in full sun and sharply drained soil, where it suits gravel gardens, path edges, and flowering borders. Cut stems back in early spring as new growth begins.
