Description
Paeonia lactiflora Raspberry Sundae produces exceptionally large, fragrant double bomb flowers above an upright clump of dark green foliage. Creamy-white guard petals form a bowl around ruffled vanilla-colored centers tipped and topped with raspberry pink, while older blooms take on a soft pink flush.
Plant it in full sun or partial shade in deep, fertile soil that stays moist but drains well. The heavy flowers may benefit from support. Remove faded blooms, then cut the dying foliage to the ground. Contact may irritate pets’ skin, so keep pets from brushing against or chewing it.
