Description

Heuchera sanguinea ‘White Cloud’ is a clump-forming evergreen perennial with a low mound of rounded, shallowly lobed, pale green leaves lightly marked with silver. Slender upright stems carry long, airy panicles of many small pure white tubular flowers from late spring through summer. The foliage mound is about 8 to 12 inches tall, while the flowering display can reach about 26 inches.

The cultivar brings a cool, frothy layer to a mixed border, cottage garden, courtyard, or small ground-cover planting. Its abundant flower stems can be cut, and the long seasonal display attracts pollinators. The compact leafy base remains useful after flowering.

Grow in fertile, neutral, moist but well-drained loam or sandy soil in full sun or partial shade. Provide more shade where summers are scorching, keep the crown well drained, and mulch annually if the woody rootstock begins to rise. Remove faded flower spikes and tidy old foliage in spring.
