Description

Fragrant white bells rise over paired green leaves when Convallaria majalis spreads into a low spring carpet. Its mat-forming rhizomes cover shaded ground beneath shrubs and in woodland-style beds.

Plant it in fertile, humus-rich soil that stays moist, in partial to full shade. This perennial forms extensive colonies and suits low-maintenance ground cover. All parts are toxic if eaten; keep the plant and berries away from children, pets, and grazing animals.
