Description
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Graziella’ forms a tall, graceful clump of narrow green leaves topped by silky silver-white panicles from late summer into fall. Its foliage shifts to rich copper-red and orange in autumn, then dries to warm tan while the plumes remain attractive into winter.
Use it as an airy screen or informal hedge, a strong border accent, or a source of fresh and dried stems. It grows best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, though partial shade and established summer dryness are tolerated.
Leave the dry clump standing for winter structure, then cut it back in early spring before new shoots appear. Divide clumps as growth begins, water new plants consistently, and wear gloves when handling the finely serrulate leaves.
