Description
This upright, clump-forming grass brings a clean vertical line to borders without spreading aggressively. Narrow green leaves carry a crisp white-to-cream center, and airy early-summer panicles rise above the foliage before aging to warm brown and remaining in place for winter structure.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. It adapts to clay and a wide pH range, works well in prairie-style borders, screens, masses, or large outdoor containers, and needs only a yearly cutback before fresh spring growth.
