Description

Wide blue-green margins, apple-green streaks, and creamy centers make Hosta sieboldiana Hudson Bay a foliage centerpiece for shaded borders and large containers. Its broad, arching clump carries near-white early-summer flowers just above the leaves.

Plant it in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in partial or full shade. The thick leaves resist slug feeding better than thinner hostas, although slugs and snails can still appear. This plant is toxic if eaten by pets and grazing animals, so place it where they cannot chew the foliage.
