Description
Hosta Earth Angel builds a broad, undulating mound of thick blue-green, heart-shaped leaves with wide margins that open creamy yellow and mature toward creamy white. Pale lavender-to-white funnel-shaped flowers rise in dense racemes above the foliage in summer.
Grow it in partial to full shade in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Shelter the leaves from cold, dry winds, keep the soil evenly moist during dry spells, and allow ample room for the clump to mature.
The plant is toxic to pets and grazing animals if eaten; keep plant material out of their reach.
