Description
Vinca minor Alba is a mat-forming evergreen perennial with long trailing stems, dark green ovate leaves, and solitary white flowers. Plants grow about 10 to 50 cm tall and spread 100 to 150 cm, making a continuous low carpet for borders, banks, woodland gardens, and spaces beneath shrubs.
Grow it in full sun, partial shade, or full shade in chalk, clay, loam, or sand. It accepts acid, neutral, or alkaline soil and grows in moist but well-drained, well-drained, or poorly drained conditions. Space plants about 35 cm apart.
Keep the soil moist but drained and cut back in early spring when needed to control spread. Propagate by division or semi-hardwood cuttings. The plant is toxic if eaten, so keep it away from children and pets.
