Description
Vaccinium corymbosum Jersey is a vigorous upright deciduous highbush blueberry with small dark-green leaves, white late-spring flowers, and loose clusters of sweet small to medium blue berries in mid to late summer. Its foliage turns orange-red in fall.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in sheltered, humus-rich, strongly acidic soil that remains evenly moist but well drained. Although capable of setting fruit, Jersey benefits from a compatible late-flowering highbush cultivar to improve berry size and yield.
