Description
Pinus resinosa develops a tall, upright evergreen crown with paired dark-green needles and reddish-brown plated bark. Mature trees reach about 40 to 80 feet high and 15 to 30 feet wide, providing strong structure for windbreaks, erosion control, and large landscapes.
Plant it in full sun in acidic to neutral, well-drained sandy or loamy soil. Water during establishment, then allow occasional dry periods while avoiding flooding, salt, and high winds.
