Description
Glossy, deeply cut green leaves with broad dark centers make Tiarella Sugar and Spice a distinctive ground cover for woodland and shade gardens. In spring, slender stems lift lightly fragrant pink-and-white flowers above its compact mound.
Grow it in partial or full shade in cool, moist, humus-rich soil. Keep the soil evenly moist without waterlogging, and protect the plant from excessive winter wet. Its clump-forming habit also fits shaded borders and underplanting beneath high-branching shrubs.
