Description
Geranium himalayense spreads into a compact mat of green foliage, topped by white-eyed blue summer flowers and an occasional repeat into autumn. Its low, broad growth covers soil at the front of borders and beneath roses or shrubs. The flowers provide nectar and pollen for bees and other pollinating insects.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile soil that drains well. Shade is tolerated, but waterlogged soil is not. Remove flowered stems and old leaves after the main bloom to encourage fresh growth and more flowers.
This plant is harmful if eaten, including by pets. Wear gloves when handling it.
