Description
Cornus kousa Satomi is a spreading deciduous small tree with layered branches, deep pink bracts around green flower heads, and dark green ovate leaves that turn red to purple in autumn.
Grow it in sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, mulch the root zone, and prune only to remove damaged or crossing wood.
