Description
Sedum spathulifolium Cape Blanco is a compact evergreen succulent selected from the Pacific coast and prized for its intensely glaucous foliage.
Small spoon-shaped leaves form overlapping silver-white to blue-gray rosettes that spread into a low, drought-tolerant mat, often gaining purple or raspberry tones in cool weather.
Short upright stems carry clusters of tiny brilliant yellow star flowers from late spring into summer, attracting pollinators.
Grow in full sun or light partial shade in lean, sandy or gritty, sharply drained soil. It excels in rock gardens, coastal sites, crevices, edging, and containers, but resents winter wet.
